Making the decision for my brother to move into supported living was incredibly difficult. After always living with our mother, in the same home his whole life, with the same routine, I was full of trepidation, guilt and worry about how he would respond to such a huge change away from everything he knew.
However, from the very beginning, the transition was completely seamless. All my fears were quickly put to rest. My brother is happier and mentally healthier than he has been in a long time. His needs are being met with kindness and professionalism, his social life is better than ever, and he is so much more active.
I have formed a great relationship with Mandy, who has my full trust and confidence. It has given our me peace of mind and I could not have wished for a better outcome.
